⚽️AFC Women’s Asian Cup Match, Gold Coast, 5 March 2026⚽️

Consul Sheryll Gabutero of the Philippine Consulate in Queensland attended the AFC Women’s Asian Cup match between the Philippines women’s national football team, ‘the Filipinas,’ and the South Korea women’s national football team at Gold Coast Stadium on 5 March 2026.

Consul Gabutero attended the match upon invitation from Rafael Toda, President of the Australia Philippines Business Council (APBC) and Experience Gold Coast. The event brought together representatives from the government, business, and education sectors, including Consul for the Republic of Korea Seong-Yeon Kim, alongside representatives from Griffith University, Southern Cross University, TAFE Queensland, as well as officials from Experience Gold Coast.

Despite the loss of the Filipinas, participants enjoyed the match from the corporate box with friendly banter and camaraderie, celebrating the spirit of women’s football and strengthening connections between Australia, the Philippines, and South Korea through sport, education, and business engagement.
