On August 8, 2022, Atty. Sheryll Lucelle Gabutero took her oath of office as the Philippine Honorary Consul to Queensland. The oath was administered by former Philippine Ambassador to Australia H.E. Ma. Helen dela Vega.
As the Honorary Consul, Atty. Gabutero’s role would include representing the Philippine government in Queensland, assisting Filipino nationals with consular services, promoting Philippine interests, supporting Filipinos in their jurisdiction whilst strengthening the relationship between the Philippines and the local community.
